Fucked up Dream

I should've rubbed my 'Peace and Calming' oil on my temples lat night because I had the strangest dream.

I was with my family, oddly enough, and we were staying at this fairly nice resort. Pool, our own rooms, nice large open space, all that good stuff. I remember unpacking my stuff in my room that I actually shared with my sister Allison. After I finished, I walked out the door (( strangely, the wall this door was on looked a bit like the walls at the old trailer in Oxford..... only no wall furnishings )).

I took a walk around the place, practically, and came across these other people. Most were girls but there was also a guy who looked like he was in the military. There were also a few children. So I hung out with these people and we were hanging out for what seemed like a few days. Eventually, in our chats, the topic of ghosts, spirits, prophets and the like came up. We all believed in the otherworldly.

Then, I said I wanted to show them a book, and I pulled out a book that just had ghost stories in it.

The next thing I know, myself, the three other girls, the military guy (( who, oddly enough, looks a lot like the guy my sister and Mike tried to hook me up with )), and the children........

...... we're all Crucified.

We all have stakes through our wrists and feet.

We're all more shocked than anything else. We're crying but it doesnt seem like it was out of pain. We're bleeding out our arms and feet and I even took notice of a few of us having TWO stakes in each wrist, not one. The people that crucified u wanted to put two stakes in each of my wrists and I heard one guy say "NO, hers are too small, give her a large stake instead."

There was a crowd of people booing us and cheering for the man who was leading them, who eventually said "Let their bodies be burned and be made in incense for the great king!!" and all of us on the crosses, we looked to where the man was raising his hand to and we saw a building that looked a bit nicer than the rest of the buildings at this resort. We saw smoke coming out of it from one end and all of us thought "Oh no" and we all died at the exact same time.

But it doesnt end there.

I 'woke up' in my dream and saw that my right hand had been chopped off. The hand I write and draw with, gone. The rest of us were missing body parts too. The military man had both his hands cut off and I could see him trying to hold his groin. He came up to me and said "They shot off my product" (( yes, he said that )) and when he pulled his stubbed arms away, there was a hole you could see right through. A clean hole where a certain body part should be.

The children that were crucified were running around, all bloody, oddly though, I think they still had their hands and feet. One of the other girls had both her feet cut off, and the military man was missing his leg from the calf down.

I found my mom. It seemed like she could see me and she wasnt worried, despite the fact of how I looked. I told her I wasnt coming home, I was dead, etc etc. My mother just said "What are you talking about?" I looked at myself, and I was still a bloody mess.

Oddly enough, she was seeing my spirit, because I was the spirit likeness of what happened to my body. All of us were roaming spirits, our bodies were already piles of ashes being dumped into a large, woven basket for this Great King. Yes, a large woven basket. A few of us...... me, the guy in the military and 2 of the girls followed some of the people who carried our ashes. We followed them into a room that was fairly toasty and they poured our burned ashes into this large basket.

I apologized to all the others who were crucifed, apologized for bringing out the book. And they said that it wasnt my fault.

Then I woke up. oO

Now is that a fucked up dream or what?

So, let's say you're sick with something.

What is it?

And what do you take to make yourself feel better?

Well, I'm currently fighting a cold that's hinting at wanting to become an Upper Respiratory Infection (( throat being all itchy and making me cough, hoarsely, on occassion ))

So, I sleep.

Get up and eat breakfast consisting of something solid, and a glass of milk. Namely pop-tarts, eating them both. Contrary to popular belief, milk does NOT create flem.

Cough drops. Lots of them. Good for sore throats, Thieves is the kind. Thank you Jackie for buying them for me. Sure they make my tongue numb but they do their job.

3rd day officially fighting it, and I've only had 4 cans of soda. 2 a day, if I'm lucky so much as to finish the can.

Meaing I'm drinking mostly milk.

Soon to be drinking cranberry juice, yes yes!!

I also ingested a cup of hot soup yesterday.

It worked nicely on the throat and restoring some energy.

SssOOOoooooo........ gimme thine remedies!!

You'll never guess who I got an e-mail from this afternoon. Richard Webster!

I had a question about some of his books so I asked a psychic friend of mine. He said, "Why don't you just ask Richard yourself?" and he gave me his e-mail address. So, I e-mailed Richard this morning and he sent a very nice reply this afternoon. He also said if there's anything else I needed to keep in touch.

Rock on.

It is now 4 minutes past Midnight as I type this.

Meaning it is now officially Devil's Night, the first night out of two nights of the year where, I believe, spirits can easily roam. The 30th and the 31st of October are the most powerful nights of the year for Paranormal activity.

Oh, pardon me, sorry but 'Tara' is not typing this. This is her 'inner monster' as she so claims to call me. Call me Ishkadiel, or Ishy as I permit you to, or perhaps you COULD say I am Tara. Just the deeper parts of herself she has yet to become.

I'm here with a little 'prediction' and a calling.

Tell me, as this intrigues me.... what do YOU believe Devil's Night and All Hallows Eve entail? What traditions do you follow? What beliefs run through your head on these two nights? Do tell, I want to know.

Now, sorry if this seems strange, but She wanted to let out her other side for 2 nights, see what happens. Fells great to have the leash lengthened just a little more.

Now, as for this prediction..... let's just say that 2006 is going to be a great year. Not because of Tara making yet another attempt at getting out (( most likely this being the last as she'll be a bit more successful this time around )), but over all. A new year for discovery. A new year of adventure. A new year of age, exploration and learning.

Yes, 2006 will be a good year. Yes, tough, but rewarding nonetheless.

She will be able to hold her head up higher, she'll be able to speak up a little louder and she'll be able to express herself a little more freely.

And, I DO thank you, those who have been there for her. Your encouragement has helped her out dearly, and has made it that more easy for her to be a little braver in talking in reference to me and her own plans as to what she wants to do with herself, life and what not.

Scott, Sarah.... you two earn the most Thank Yous Tara or myself could ever give because you two have been there for her the most.

Thank you. Thank you. And Thank You some more.

Do tell what Hallowe'en means to you.....

For me.... it is a night of mischeif. Fun. Laughter. Darkness. And, as some of the more superstitious people believe, there's nothing better than to dress up like your favourite monster, just to evade the instinctful antics of the entities that have slipped through rifts and openings to wreak their havoc on Humans. Of course, many are conscious of the fact that people try to meld in with those Entities, but the entities either have better things to do than to try and find the imposters....... OR, they accept those people among them, join in on the fun.

So, speak up. Let a different side of you take hold and reveal what you feel Hallowe'en means.

Love Is ...

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss"
Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,"
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."
Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine - age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."
Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image)
Karen - age 7

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

My favorite is Tommy - Age 6. I wish I was still as innocent as these children. Unfortunately my view of love has been darkened over time. Perhaps we should all add our own statement. Mine is, "Love is the pain that makes me wish I was dead, but the hope that keeps me alive." Scott - Age 28.

Do you see yourself as someone who has the presence of a Familiar about you?

I've been told I can be associated with the Werecat, or catlike beings. But what about you?

Is your familiar a favourite animal of yours?

My favourite animals are Snakes, Cats and Horses. Snakes, stealth and cunning. Cats, balance, coordination, motherhood. Horses, strength.

So, what is your familiar or what would it be?

The brilliant manga Ah!Megamisama was made into an OVA many years ago who's English title is "Oh! My Goddess". I downloaded and watched all of the fansubs and some day would love to own it on DVD because I just absolutely love that anime. I wasn't a fan of the movie though.

Well, recently the manga is being animated yet again, this time in a TV series. The same story that was told in the OVA is being reworked and expanded and the English title is "Ah! My Goddess," a subtle difference from the OVA so you can tell which one's which.

When I first heard the news, I had mixed feelings. They did such a great job with the OVA, why redo it? Well, I watched the first episode of the TV series tonight and I still have mixed feelings. I don't like the art style as well in the TV show as I do in the OVA. I do like how the TV show takes more time in developing the events however, but there's also this voiceover thing that I hate. In addition, the TV show seems to directed towards fate (the goddesses direct Keichi's call to Belldandy) whereas in the OVA, things just sort of happen (Keichi accidentally dials a wrong number).

I don't know. All in all I think I'll like the OVA better but I can't make a final decision until I've seen the TV series all the way through. I guess I better save my money and buy the DVDs as they're released. That or see about downloading fansubs again, but I have yet to find a P2P that had as many as Kazaa did (which I refuse to use because of GAIN, Gator, and other stupid spyware worm fsking !@#%&* ... that come attached and are impossible to get rid of).

The Ideal Self

posted by: lilitheraine in moonlightwings

(( I had to restart this entry as the first time around, it sounded like I was blabbing..... ))

I'm sitting here thinking of how I am going to go about and talk about the Ideal Self, without sounding vain in my own case. My Ideal Self, also my inner monster, isnt just a physical description of how she dresses, how she looks and her movements, but also on where she lives, how she lives, what she does for a living, how she acts, why she does it and things like that.

I sat at my laptop today and spent a good couple of hours customizing it. When i finally closed down all my programs and restarted my computer, I examined the new look. A new Logon screen. A new theme. A new background. Different screensaver. My computer's name is "Squishy" (( yes, after Finding Nemo )) but my laptop is also probably going to be my main work which I am going to call "Sweet Divinity Industries." Nothing really industrial about it, but it'd be about several aspects of art, music, things of that nature.

When that was finished, I recalled the night I spent a lot of time customizing the colours for my LiveJournal, the night I revamped it's layout and colour-coding. All that practically random colour choosing turned out into something that reminded me of the Ideal me, colourful, bright, chipper, friendly, and contemplative. Rather weird, but still good. i felt accomplished that night, I felt accomplished today.

I look at the new streak of colour in my bangs, a fading mix of pink and purple with a blue tip. I think of my new 6gauge and I am happy that my dream gauging has been reached. I love it..... a ton.

Bits and pieces of the physical me are showing through, little by little.

But what about the mental me? I admit, I've still got a long way to go.

I miss the friendly access and stability I had back in Lake Orion. I learned a lot back then, I was gaining knowledge quickly and felt positive about myself there. Here in Midland, positivity is lacking but I try to keep a better outlook on what I want to do and where I want to go. I'll keep a mini-library. Books about Mythology, Philosophy, Fiction, Urban Legends and a ton of other fun stuff. of course, I'll still be naive, ditzy and a ton of other goofy things too, but still. I want to have that extreme curiosity I had back at home.

The Psychological and Emotional me........ she's pleasant, friendly, open-minded, an abstract thinker, fun, goofy, hyper, happy (( most of the time )) and just plain loving life, no matter what issues she faces. She doesnt get stressed normally. The Ideal me is laid-back, yet responsible and aims to get her bills paid before she goes out to have fun with friends with whatever money is left. She may still be attending school, but for fun. She already has her degree in Visual Communications and working a steady job, going to class on the weekends, Saturday mainly, that way she can go out at night. The rest of the weekend is for fun, relaxing, and chilling with her buds.

Her physical living quarters........ there's a roomy, yet humble apartment...... above the street so she can look down at the cars as they drive by. There's a building across the street, possibly a bank or big business. There's a window she looks out when she's sitting at her computer, finalizing commission details, looking up Internet resources, updating a website or two, working, you name it. Behind her is the bookcase where she keeps her main library of books. There's a few in a nightstand in her room. She keeps a stereo next to her computer, as well as a keyboard. Music is her hobby and she's trying to piece together a few songs, no real intent to go anywhere, but just for hers, as well as her friends' entertainment. There's a TV in her room, as well as the living room, which is also a wide, open space, perfect for dancing. The kitchen has a few dirty dishes but those'll be cleaned after dinner, more than likely. Something she learned from her dad is to make sure the kitchen sink doesnt have any dirty dishes by night's end. If there are, take care of them after breakfast the next morning.

I may be a bum and still living at home..... a major lazy-ass, but the responsibility is there. Honest.

Change is occuring, again slowly but most definitely.....

I dont know but it seems I've been in lighter moods since I got commissioned earlier this week. The ear-gauging and the hair-dying just added to the good mood.

1, Full Believer - The National Enquirer may stretch things a bit, but all that stuff is true in one

I would have to say i'm a full believer. I believe in many different things. I'm still trying to find what path i want to take religion wise but it seems to be in the neo-pagan direction. I belive in mythical creatures, i believe in many different legends. The things i don't believe in are they type of things that was given as an example for the total believer. A lot of superstitions i don't believe in. I believe in ghosts and a lot of other things. I believe that you can communicate with with spirits and i believe that they are everywhere. Mythical creatures are all over also (tara remember pito). I love studying occult sciences also. And i'm also a big believer in astrology and moon signs. My friends have a tendency to get possessed and the weird thing is i've actually become friends with some of them. They just hang out inside her body and come out everyonce in a while. They actually help her survive by giving her energy. I'm not saying thats exactly a good thing to allow but it hasn't hurt us so far. A lot of people don't know what they are talking about but things really do exist, you just need to find what is true and what people are making up, but then again the mind is very powerful. I know someone who wanted a friend so despertly when she moved she made a spiritual form for that person, and could see her. The mind is extraordinary. Hell people can do memory charms on themselves. I've had 2 friends do this. One completely blocked out a specific incident that happened, and another friend blocked out everything she's experienced with the paranormal and metaphysical, granted she ended up going nuts for a few days being certain visions kept popping up in her head, and after about a week of us helping her remember and her finally realizing that she wanted to know again it all came back. There is a hell of a lot of crap we can't figure out about why all this exists but it does.

Ok as most of the members expressed thier thoughts on this subject through a seperate post on this community I shall follow the general trend.

Personally with me it isnt so much a question of how far I believe in Legends, the mythical and the supernatural its more a case of how far I believe in the power of belief and the human mind. Personally I have no doubts that the mind itself is the most powerful weapon humanity can utilize and is also the most potent force within the world mankind inhabits to date and belief is something spawned from the human mind. Also despite modern science being able to explain away many of lifes mysteries now I also believe that regardless of how advanced science becomes there will always be some things that science and logic cannot explain. The reason for this is that regardless of what angle you are looking at it from life isnt logical. Hence why Ive often been known to say 'Im afraid im not a very logical person but its alright as life isnt logical either'. The most common example of this would be the bumble bee as our most advanced knowledge in the laws of physics dictate that with its preportions of wings and bodyweight it should be impossible for this thing to fly it is a completely illogical creature. Yet regardless of what all our knowledge in physics say not only does this thing fly but it flies and functions as an organism quite well but does the universe give a damn? Quite simply put, no it doesnt. Once you remove logic from the equation and take into account that belief is born from something so powerful it has the potential to create and diffuse events of cataclysmic preportions and resolve situations that all the armys in the world could not many things become possible.

It is proven that we only use something like 10-20% of our brain and no one has a clue what the rest is there for yet think of all that we have accomplished with that tiny fraction of our potential? It gets you thinking doesnt it? It also actually HAS been proven that there are people that posess mental abilities that would be considered supernatural so do these people perhaps somehow use more of thier brain than your average human being? Im afraid I do not know of the awnser to that question myself I only know that it is proven that some people have supernatural mental capacity and have not had the time to look into it further. Considering that the brain also controls and co ordinates the entirety of the human body to me it only seems reasonable to think that what the person in question truly believes is going to have quite an affect on thier charactersitics, attributes and mannerisms. However the question is to what extent? I dont doubt that there is some truth behind legends and myths perhaps such legends were simply about great heros and villans ages ago who were then deified/demonised and given supernatural attributes such as shape shifting in order to ensure that they were immortalized or perhaps such legends and myths spring from a minority of people who through thier belief obtained these certain supernatural attributes and characteristics and so then were percieved as such powerful figured by the general populace. That would certaintly explain why we rarely hear of such things now as the convenience of modern science would have meant that most of us are less open to such a possiblity and certaintly removes the necessity to explore such an avenue. I am certaintly not one to underestimate the power of forces such as the human mind and belief or the possibilties that could be produced by them.

Could Tara have certain attributes common among those of a vampiric nature if her mind had enough of an interest in them or believed in the possibility of thier existance enough. Well it seems to me that from her post she certaintly does and my own best friend Laura also posesses many such characteristics she described such as the pale skin, burning in the sun without tanning and feeling uncomfortable around sunlight. Heck Laura even used to have fangs (the braces placed on her by the othradontist got rid of them much to my dismay) and Laura certaintly has a deep interest in both vampires and the Wiccan religion. So yeah Laura certaintly has such charactistics too and she also definately has the necessery belief and interest. Could people posses the ability to shapeshift thire physical appearance to that of certain animals if they believed in the possibility of being able to do so enough? I certaintly wouldnt rule it out as impossible much of our physical characteristics and attributes are determined by our belief in what our bodies are capable of doing and in what the humans are capable of doing or have the potential to do in general. As for myself while I have certain qualitys that could be viewed as odd such as the fact sometimes my pulse randomly stops or at least to become too faint for even my mother (who is a very qualified nurse) to detect without me displaying any of the conditions or qualities often associated with not having a pulse and sometimes I have had dreams of events that have come to pass but little that could fit in with any legend or myth. However I would not expect that to be the case as rather than focusing on resultants that are from branches of the human mind (such as vampiric attributes or shapeshifting could or could not be viewed as a resultant of an emphasis on the branch of belief) I prefer to examine the source my mind itself as to me that is what has unlimited potential and if someone were able to understand the mind completely they would be at a great advantage so I have always taken great pains to try and develop my mind as a whole rather than to just develop certain parts of it. Not to say that I am superior to others of course its just the way I see things.

My Beliefs.... #2: Strong Believer, Legends Exist For A Reason

Jul. 18th, 2005 | 07:53 pm
mood: contemplativecontemplative
music: "SS Deathstar Supergalactic"
posted by: lilitheraine in moonlightwings

Alright, seeing as though fuckeu went into detail, I might as well too.

I am a strong believer. I DO believe that Legends exist for a reason and I believe that in Legends, as farfetched as they seem to be, there is truth there, it's just twisted and manipulated. A legend start out as a story, about a quest or a lesson to be taught. Then the person who first heard it tells it to someone else, then they tell that story to someone else and so on and so forth. The farther down the line the story is sent, details change. Some details are minor, others are major and can change the story completely. But again, no matter how many details are changed, the plot should remain the same and the same lesson might be learned. No matter how screwy it sounds, there is a moral to it. A truth.

Mind you, it is said that even Polytheistic deities were possibly based off of real people. However, real people dont go walking around, donning a Jackal-head upon their shoulders like Anubis, being dpeicted as a man with a Jackal's head. Also, maybe Thoth walked like an Ibis, the animal whose head he bore. Ibis are often seen standing upright, alert and astute. Thoth was the God of Writing.... astute like a scribe. Hence maybe that's where the Ibis head came from. Maybe Bubastis was as motherly and watchful as a female feline. Gentle yet firm, and furocious when angry.

As for the Greek/Roman Deities, mainly Zeus, as far as shape-shifting goes...... it is said that if one is to attain a certain Ethereal/meta-physical level of themselves, or attain a certain power of magick, they can perform shape-shifting in some way, shape or form. And we see ourselves performing animalistic antics on occasion..... meowing, screeching, tackling, things like that. Maybe we cant ignore our animal origins but still, we walk upright. Why is it that we still crawl about, acting like animals, making their noises? Sometimes hunters crawl around wearing grass blankets over them for camouflage, that's animalistic..... a "wolf in sheep's clothing" if you will. Zeus took the form of many animals and had multiple lovers through those shape-shifting occasions, despite Hera's wrath. He took the form of a goose, a golden shower, a Satyr and many other forms such forms. (( By the way, when I said Golden Shower, I didnt mean the fetish ))

Vampires, werewolves and a few other Mythical Creatures shape-shift often, maybe on a daily basis. And sometimes that's run a little bit close to home with me.

My friend Caleb has had many an occasion where he's woke up, with his clothes torn, a few dead rabbits in the garden from time to time, fresh mud on his shoes, etc that indicate some activity during the night, although he remembers going to bed. However, he's had dreams where he's gone outside, did running around in the wild, through the woods, mud, did some hunting and then woke up back in his bed. There was a few times where he's woken up in his car, even though he climbed into bed the night prior. One would say he's just sleepwalking, but when you dream that you kill a rabbit and then find a dead rabbit on your lawn, that says something. Either this guy is a good shot while he's fast asleep or he's a shape-shifter. Personally, I'd rather believe the latter.

As for me, I'm cat-like. While I prefer snakes and horses, I feel I am most like a cat. I've lived around cats my whole life, I meow like them, hiss on occasion, and while I dont have perfect agility or balance or coordination, I can be quick, light on my feet, and protective if I have to be.

However, there are other actions I do that lead me to believe that I may be something other than totally human. Call me crazy, but this is why I believe as such.

I had a dream once. Early my senior year, this dream consisted of my looking at a man, dressed in a long, red coat, he has long brown hair, green eyes and fair skin. He keeps looking at me as if he's beckoning me to him with bedroom eyes. I fell for it. I blink, in my dream, and the next thing I know, I'm in this man's arms, I feel very cold, wet and sticky. I hear him say "Now you're one of us." It was then that I realized this man was a vampire and he has just literally taken a chunk out of my neck. I cant remember if I looked up at him or not but I DO recall him having a third eye, in the centre of his forehead, with red tribal markings all around it. For some reason, I got the impression that Red meant "Leader."

Next in my dream, I'm conscious of my canines getting a little sharper, if not longer. I'm in a cabin-like building with several of my friends and I can easily see Rosemary and Amanda's faces. They're looking at me and i can tell they know what I'm thinking. They knew I was changing, yet at the same time, they werent scared of me. They knew I wasnt about to drink the blood of a friend or family member. I wouldnt. However, I notice that outside, there's snow on the ground and the sun is sinking behind the tree line..... it appears as if it's mid-to-late November, month-wise. I look at my friends and, not just me, Rosemary and Amanda, but everyone got this horrible, gut-wrenching feeling that something bad was going to happen. No sooner than it dawns on us, we all hear this blood-curdling scream coming from outside.

We all rush outside and we see the same man as before, with several of his clan-members, rushing about, killing people with no intent to turn them into vampires. The dream ends with that man looking at me.

Then I woke up and practically didnt know where I was. My room was black, I thought my eyes were still closed.

Now, why do I think I might've (( or still am becoming )) the vampire that that man, supposedly his name is Maika, turned me into? Well, let me state the facts.....

I'm pale. Everybody knows this. I'm part Irish, and that part of my heritage shows very easily through my flesh. I'm so pale that you can easily make out the veins on my body, more so specifically on my stomach. I can easily see one major vein that runs up from my groin, and splits at about halfway between my lower belly and ribcage into 4 or more large capillaries. When I go out into the sun, if I'm lcuky I'll only get pink. Usually this happens when I am wearing a sleeveless top and no Oxford shirt over that. If it's bad enough and I'm outside just long enough, I come back inside and I have a dark pink, dark brown freckles and then immedately white, because a part of my skin didnt get burned.

Then again, everybody sunburns. Yeah but that's not the point. The fact is, I dont tan. I get burned and then it fades. I dont tan anymore, hell I only tanned once before in my life and that was when i was 7 years old, after I got badly charred and peeled in chunks big enough for a cannibal to eat. Not kidding.

I normally go out at night. I'm also a nightowl. When the weather gets hot and sunny, I'm usually inside until the sun goes down. At least I wont need my sunglasses, which I sometimes have to wear in winter because of the snow reflecting light from the cloudy sky. I wear dark colours, especially in the winter, black especially because it keeps me warm enough, I look good in it and I like its universal companionship with other colours. But of course, I get labeled "Goth" or "Satanic" for it. Big whoop.

We have a book at Hot Topic called "The Vampires Encyclopedia." I've picked it up on several occasions and some things just seem to stick to me. To become a vampire, it spoke of if you practice witchcraft, it *betters* your chances at becoming one. A predisposition to becoming a vampire would be suckling after being weaned or being weaned too early. I dont know whether or not I was weaned early or I suckled afterwards, but from what my mother has told me, I bit when I breast-fed.

Another thing about vampires is that they exert a strong sexual appeal. Umm, I may still be a virgin but, while I'm not meaning to brag, I seem to attract a lot of compliments, and many involve words like "sexy". I go to clubs, and it seems like I attract a lot of attention. Does it make me feel uncomfortable? No...... but really, from what the book says, maybe it's just a small hint.

Also, this book says that not all vampires need blood. In my case, I need to have meat daily. If I dont get meat, I just dont know exactly what goes on. I love the feeling of tearing into meat with my teeth. It just fills me up where soup or salad wont. True, I fill up quick, but still. I like my meat. And on nights when i can see the moon, usually a full moon, it feels like my craving for meat increases.

Maybe it's al in my head, but still.

There are reasons why I am a #2, some strong points which I have listed above and other reasons that a doctor would claim as borderline insanity. I hope to see beliefs and 'technologies' get better at detecting what is unknown to us now, and maybe we could classify people as a certain being, if one's mind were open enough to embrace it.

Who knows.

ill have to go with choice number two (which technically would be #3 since theres a 0 first)

i believe that just about everything has an explaination tho... that doesnt mean that i think any supernatural occurrance isnt supernatural... maybe its "hyper-physical".

i would have said like an 7 or an 8 before...

...but that was before i saw that pesky UFO that has left me wary of all things aerial. (terrified act.)

i must say that i believe the technology for what i saw is here... but i also believe that the technology revolving around my UFO is going to change the way we look at the world as soon as those bastards let the general population what they can do now. the principles have been in the works since the 40s.

im talking about HUGE anti-gravity craft here...

not only did i see it one time but i have seen it and other things plenty of times... my current boyfriend has also seen it on several occasions as well as his best friend...

it is said that it can hover indefinately and travel at mach 9 in the lower atmosphere.

my UFO has been terrorizing people since the early 80s. i wouldnt have even believed my own eyes... and i didnt until two months after my sighting when i saw a photo of the exact same thing... the technology involved is said to be reverse engineered from alien craft by some people... im not sure how much i agree with that but i must say that a lot of things really start to add up after a while... the reports regardnig this craft are quite chilling sometimes... people ask questions "i saw it on the highway, how did it beat me to my house???" and they say that it seems to be aware of the fact that it has been spotted...

maybe they are in tune with some kind of psychic realm or some kind of awareness of thought patterns or brain waves... couple that with homeland security and monster computers (i think there is even a supercomputer called "the beast" out there somewhere....crreeeeeeepy) and i dont think its too difficult to fathom that something could beat you home to your house.

its really difficult to go over everything i can say about this thing or the things that have happened since the first sightning... i thought i was going to die for sure that night!!

a few weeks ago, my friend took the name that this ufo supposedly has and plugged it into a websites search engine belonging to a company that works colsely with the govt on projects, and is said to have played a role in this development... and immediately the site went down...

as far as what kind of whack shit i believe in... i believe that their may be aliens with special brainiac powers... i believe that aliens if they have been visiting us, have played a gigantic role in biblical times... perhaps as god, jesus, angels, and even demons... i think that some of these guys tried to tell us how to do the right thing and then we killed jesus and since maybe they genetically engineered jesus or spoke to his head.... that they got pissed and took off for a while perhaps...

i dont think god is a litteral being at all... i think god is everything and that they aliens being as intelligent as they are had a simple time seeing how everything is connececed... even everything in existance and they tried to explain that to us but we were too uninformed to catch it. in otherwords i think that god is simply nature... and nature determines everything... well not really nature but probably physics i suppose. and that doesnt mean that god doesnt need your respect and your fear... in fact when it comes to your environment a little bit of fear and reverence can be healthy.

on a side note if aliens arent here then then the govt sure does have a hell of a lot of explaining to do... and maybe then the govt must have some kind of f-ed up special operatives because all kinds of wierd shit is happening to people everywhere...

i also think that the govt wages a war on our subconscious... i beleive that they are working hard to develop psychotronic arrays and i think that they fact that they feel the need to do so or the fact that they see possibilites in that area should let us know that there is more to reality than meets they eye...

they say that they have some kind of thing that creates a frequency to cause the enemy to lose motivation... can you believe that... i think they must be using the apathy ray on all of america!!

i read some where that an experiment was done back in the seventies with frequencies and a man was able to have an audio perception of the numbers on through 10 in his head, the numbers being spoken by someone in another location.

and that if there is a war between good and evil and god and the devil then G.W. Bush is an evil satanic freemason or something like that and he is trying to destroy us all...

i think that ghosts are real and spirits and so forth and i think that those kinds of things have somethig to do with "energy" or something... i cant explain that someting at all... i cant even come close to an explaination... but maybe aliens also can walk in that realm too, who knows...

you can see energy in the air... its pretty awesome really... perhaps it is opening ones minds eye allowing us to see things we cant typically sense with our more physically rooted senses...

they are building a subatomic collider in the year 2007 to see if they can detect other dimensions less than a millimeter away... i think that that is some pretty heavy shit considering that a dimension isnt necccesarily like another world or anything but it is something that adds depth to your reality...
perhaps there is a dimension for all of that "energy" i mentioned above and whatnot... or maybe space and time are folded, very very very folded....

maybe like in that final fantasy movie the spirits within... maybe there all all kinds of different life forms... but they operate on a completely different set of rules than we do... we are already proving that artificial intelligence can overcome human controls and adapt to its own environment... i beleive that very soon artificial intelligence will become life... and that doesnt even have a body untill its given one... so then what is alive... and what is a consciousness??? perhaps there are consciousnesses all around us...

i also think that mind may overcome matter... and manipulate that energy that we cant see but we can...

i dont believe that i am crazy, but i believe that everyone who takes the world at face value is.

oh yeah and if you go back through time and look at all of the strange references ancient civilizations have left behind id say that somehow most of it is connected...

also i think its pretty wierd that ancient indians (india) left behind things talking about "spiritual technology" and they say that some of their people had flying vehicles of some sort... i think thats just really interesting.... spiritual technology, eh??

also i think that any reference to a flying wheel in the sky is important...

i think a lot of the things ancient people said are quite out of context these days because i know that they didnt have all of the terms that we do presently and i think it is important to keep that in mind. so when they are trying to describe a freakin ufo back before they could even dream of airplanes... i would immagine that they had to describe it the best way that they can... so maybe they said something like "...and then god flew up in this crazy flaming wagon one like you wouldnt believe!!! and he waved at us and left behind lots of fish!!"

okay i take it back... i am crazy...

Believer or Skeptic?

In all things paranormal and metaphysical, how skeptical are you?

0, Total Believer - If you step on a crack, you WILL break your mother's back. No question about it.
1, Full Believer - The National Enquirer may stretch things a bit, but all that stuff is true in one way or another.
2, Strong Believer - Legends exist for a reason.
3, Partial Believer - Ghosts are real, but vampires? Yeah right.
4, Maybe - I've known who was calling before the phone even rang. That's pretty weird.
5, Neutral - I've seen some strange stuff, some of which can be explained away, others that make me wonder.
6, Doubtful - A century or two ago, technology would seem like magic. We may not understand things now but we will in the future.
7, Partial Skeptic - Yeah, you can read thoughts through body language and people have strong intuition, but it's all logical.
8, Strong Skeptic - Dreams seem real at the time, but the more educated you are, the more you realize everything is fiction.
9, Full Skeptic - Mere coincidence. An infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters, one of them is bound to write MacBeth.
10, Total Skeptic - There is nothing out there than't can't be explained scientifically and logically, whether physically, psychologically, or both.

That should be enough for now. If you wish to elaborate on your decision, you may but I'll be writing another post in a few days to explore some of these things more.

Well, someone's gotta get the ball rolling so let's open this up for discussion. One of our mods already mentioned horoscopes in her LJ, so we can start with that.

What are everyone's beliefs in horoscopes?
Is it real?
Is it fake?
Somewhere in between?
Does it lay out the future verbatim?
Is it more vague and open to interpretation?
Is the future implicit (cannot be changed), a guideline (can be altered), or an idea (can be changed)?
Does it give you the message and you just take it?
Or, does it spout random generalizations and you create your own message through introspection?

I once heard of a teacher who cut out a daily paper's horoscopes, but only the messages and not the date or star sign. He then passed them out to his students but gave them all the one from the previous sign instead of their own, but told them it was their proper one. He had them read them over and see what they thought. Every student said that theirs was spot on. He then gathered them up and redistributed them giving them the correct ones, but stating he's having them read other people's. All the students said it sounded nothing like them. He repeated this the next day but shifted one sign later. Same results. Finally, a month or two later he handed them two horoscopes and told them to pick the one that best sounded like them. They in fact were both the proper ones, and the same one's used from two months prior. Regardless, the students felt one sounded totally like them, and the other one was completely not them. Finally, at the end of the semester he redistributed the one's that they had rejected as being completely not them (even though it was their proper horoscopes) and told them that it was theirs from today's paper. They all agreed it was a perfect match even though they had rejected it months prior, and again months prior to that. So, whether this proves anything or not, it's food for thought.

I also have food for thought to sway the argument the other way, but it may take some digging to find so I'll leave you with that for now.

Anyway, the floor is open to discussion. Remember, whatever your own viewpoints, be sure to respect those of others as well. And converse intelligently. No, "You're stupid and you suck," comments please.

Alright, let me state some stuff for this group.

We are a group that leaves things open for discussion, kind of like that type of class at school where we let topics go where they go.

This is a group for discussing opinions, rants, theories, and other such dealies for topics like Anime, Government, cliques (( coughcough )), society, paranormal, and literature and even some things like fashion, music, movies, etc etc.

As for rules...... just dont make an ass out of yourself. Opinions are going to differ, so please accept that here and now. If you are Christian, those who arent Christian will not (( or should not )) force their beliefs on you, and the same things applies to you. Do not preach. I dont like being preached to and I dont think a lot of other people do either.

If you want to criticize somebody for their opinions or ideas, please do so, however expect any criticism back. Whether it be constructive or not. However, if you simply say "You're stupid" give reasons as to why. If you fail to support your opinion, your post will be disregarded. Move on.

IF a moderator feels the need to ban someone (( the LAST resort )), let's discuss it in private. It'd be nice to be able to keep in contact with people outside of LJ. (( internet messangers would be good )) Flame Wars can be funny and entertaining, but save it for when someone terrorizes your journal. If a flame war happens in this community, no problem, but when a MOD says it's over, it's OVER. Any further comments or rants that make any attempt to continue the flame war need to be discussed in private. =3

Alright, that sounded like rules. e.e

Anywho, that's just a little lay down of the rules and opinions that can be expressed herein. ^^

Hope that clears stuff.
